Tomás Saraceno: Museo Aero Solar: Thailand Biennale: The Open World, Chiang Rai, Thailand

Between late November and early December, a new Museo Aero Solar was built by the community of Chiang Rai, in northern Thailand. The canvas was made out of 5,000 repurposed plastic bags, contributed by the people of Chaing Rai as part of an extensive plastic bag collection campaign: each one telling a story and saved from polluting the environment. Museo Aero Solar Chiang Rai finally raised into the air and flew–not one but two times–using just the energy of the sun.
